SLIGHT CHANCES: Rain will be few and far between the next week with only chances on Thursday and again on Saturday across the state. The best chance looks to be on Saturday at this point with a cold front that will move through bringing some cooler weather to the state even for a short period of time. Rainfall looks to be light however with a quarter inch being the average across the state through Saturday night.

MORE HEAT: Heat looks to return in time for the beginning of state fair a week from Thursday, however this could be interrupted with some slight cool downs, albeit briefly. Readings will slowly return to seasonal levels toward the latter half of the State Fair, but even that could change for the hotter given the persistent hot and dry pattern this Summer. Rainfall will continue to be spotty at best, so no relief on that front either in the next two weeks.
