…Excessive Heat Warning has been issued for Pocahontas, Humboldt, Sac, Calhoun, Webster, Hamilton, Crawford, Carroll, Greene, Boone, Story, Audubon, Guthrie, Dallas, Polk, Jasper, Cass, Adair, Madison, Warren, Marion, Adams, Union, Clarke, Lucas, Monroe, Taylor, Ringgold, Decatur, Wayne, and Appanoose counties from 1PM Saturday to 9PM Wednesday.

Timing: Saturday Afternoon to Late Wednesday

Temperature: 90’s North to near 100 South. Dew Points in 60’s to near 70 will make heat indexes climb to 105-110 degrees.

Impacts: Hot Temperatures combined with High Humidity will create a dangerous to life threatening situation in which heat illnesses are likely if precautions are not taken. This prolonged event will accumulate overtime. Extreme Caution should be taken if outdoors during this alert.
