STILL DRY: Not many changes to the forecast today, with continued dry conditions through the end of the week. Late Friday into Saturday could see some isolated shower and thunderstorm activity, but it’s going to be few and far between at this point. Temperatures will warm back to near or over 90 once again by the weekend. Next week looks to get warm again but for a briefer time than the last heat wave. There could be some rainfall mid-week next week, but this could change as well.

RAGBRAI: Looking more like RAGBRAI may get a saving grace with regards to the heat, but again this can change with it still under two weeks away. A trough looks to be taking shape over the eastern half of the country putting the state in a northwesterly flow aloft. This could bring some cooler air to the state if this pans out, but any rainfall looks to remain scarce.
