STORMY AND HUMID: This looks to be the case this weekend with hot humid weather during the day with several chances of showers and thunderstorms across the area during the afternoon and especially at night with some possible MCS’s. Readings will remain throughout the next week in the upper 80s to middle 90s across the area with heat indices perhaps approaching 100+ again next week. The rain chances do move away to begin the new week with dry weather expected throughout that time frame.
JULY 4TH: The fourth of July right now looks to be hot and dry and that looks to hold for the time being. Readings will be in the 90s across the state with dew points in the 60s to lower 70s. This will produce heat indices close to over exceeding 100°. Some heat advisories may be issued that day for this, but it’s too early to determine that at this time. Fireworks should go off without any problems this year at least weather wise.
MID JULY: GFS is bringing down a high pressure system out of Canada by mid-month that may bring some relief to the state but not from the abnormally dry conditions we’ve been experiencing. Readings if this is right will be down into the lower and middle 80s, perhaps lower than that, with lows possibly down into the 50s. This is likely the next time the AC may get turned off in the next two weeks.
