Well, it’s been a while since we have had a big severe weather event. Well, today appears like one of those days. The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has posted a Slight Risk for Severe Weather today for areas West of I-35, with the possibility of having a moderate risk by the noon outlook.
Here is how it is supposed to go. Thunderstorms are expected to be moving out of Minnesota early in the morning, with a few of these storms will be severe. Later in the afternoon, storms will begin developing to the West, and really begin to get some energy early this evening. Large Hail and Damaging Winds will be the primary threats with these storms, but an isolated tornado can not be ruled out. Flooding is not a concern at this time.
We will continue to monitor this situation and give you updates as needed.
