DRY WEATHER?: This week looks to remain dry across the state unless the GFS has its way. The model has been painting some rain chances beginning late Wednesday into Friday and even Saturday, but given the dry ground, those chances look remote at best but we’ll keep an eye on this in case this does materialize. Readings this week will slowly rise from the 70s to near 80 today into the upper 80s to lower 90s by this coming weekend.
BIG BAD STORM!: There looks to be a big bad storm coming our way in a weeks time that could be the next widespread chance of rain. This could also bring us our next chance of severe weather. We’ll keep watching this storm as well in future videos to see if it continues in future runs.
HEAT WAVE: The heat wave in about 10-14 days still looks on target with a 594 ridge developing just to our south and expanding over the plains and western Midwest. At the end of the run, it begins to shift to the west as a storm from Hudson Bay noses the jet stream southward enough to take us out of any more heat. We’ll continue watching this as any heat wave with possible dry conditions around here could lead to some trouble.
