Iowa Forecast Discussion 6/2/2012

No Video Today due to no uploaded GFS Graphics since yesterday morning.

WARMER WEEKEND: The weekend will bring some warmer temperatures to the area with readings well into the 70s and even a few 80s. The only chances of some rain will come early today and again Sunday night into Monday. Rainfall looks to remain light with many areas getting a tenth of an inch or less.

MAINLY DRY WEEK: The rest of the upcoming week looks dry and seasonal with 70s and 80s across the state. Some rain may flirt with the state but not without any further model runs to pinpoint when and where that will occur. Farther out there are chances for some showers and thunderstorms and the heat bubble had disappeared on the 12z run, but without any new model data, it’ll be too hard to determine anything beyond 7-10 days at this time.
