COLDER WEATHER AHEAD: The cold weather is still forecast to arrive in stages with today seeing readings back off into the 609s to lower 70s for highs, about 5-10 degrees off yesterday’s readings. Clouds will fill the skies during the day and by tonight into tomorrow morning, rain will be moving in keeping the readings down into the 50s to near 60 both Thursday and possibly Friday, although Friday could see some lower 60s if the rain moves out quick enough. The rainfall from this system is expected to be at least an inch, with some areas getting closer to two inches.
JUNE WX: Following the storm at the end of the week, temperatures will make a big recovery back to June like readings by the weekend with readings back to and over 80 by Sunday. Along with the warmup comes another chance of showers and thunderstorms which are still needed in some areas of the state. Some of the storms on Monday and Tuesday could become strong to severe, however more details will be forthcoming as we draw closer to the possible event.
