The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch effective until 2am Sunday morning for the following counties, Audubon, Buena Vista, Calhoun, Carroll, Cherokee, Clay, Crawford, Dickinson, Emmet, Greene, Humboldt, Ida, Kossuth, O’Brien, Palo Alto, Plymouth, Pocahontas, Sac, Webster, Woodbury and Dakota NE. Storms have developed in eastern Nebraska and have had some severe weather associated with them. These storms will be capable of large hail and damaging straight line winds. Along with the severe weather threat will be heavy rainfall which may cause some ponding of water or rapid rises in creeks and streams.
