The Storm Prediction Center has issued a TORNADO WATCH effective until 1am Friday morning for the following counties, Adair, Adams, Appanoose, Cass, Clarke, Davis, Decatur, Des Moines, Henry, Jefferson, Keokuk, Lee, Louisa, Lucas, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, Monroe, Ringgold, Taylor, Union, Van Buren, Wapello, Warren, Washington, Wayne, Atchison MO, Nodaway MO, Worth MO, Harrison MO, Mercer MO, Putnam MO, Schuyler, Scotland MO and Clark MO. Storms are beginning to develop in and near the watch area. Some of these storms have contain large hail and damaging winds in addition to tornadoes. Along with the threat of severe weather, heavy rain is possible with these storms which may cause brief flooding in some low lying areas.

UPDATE: Cedar, Muscatine, Scott and Rock Island IL have been added to the TORNADO WATCH
