It seems like our Severe Weather chances will never end! After the Tuesday evening to overnight threat, the warm front will leave the area and a frontal boundary will set up and stall over the area, and this will bring another threat of storms over the area. As a result, the Storm Prediction Center has already posted a Slight Risk of Severe Weather for nearly the entire state of Iowa, with the exception of very extreme Southeast Iowa. The main area of storms in our opinion will be the most Northern section with Shear and Dew Points in the 60’s all contributing to stronger storms.
Here is the general timeline on how things are expected to happen Wednesday. The atmosphere is expected to destabilize in the early to mid afternoon with convective development expected to begin in the early evening. All modes of severe weather are possible with this storm with flash flooding possible.
The storm is really hard to pinpoint due to the day before’s storms. However, we will continue to monitor this and all storms throughout the next couple of weeks.
