LOTS OF CHANCES: Forecast is about the same as yesterday with several chances of showers and thunderstorms this week across the state. Some of the storms could be severe especially on Tuesday and possibly Wednesday. Late this morning will have another post when the Day 2 and 3 outlooks come out. There could be some decent rainfall out of this as well, with at least 1-2″ possible by Friday night. Although the GFS wants to continue the wet and active period into next weekend as well as a few days the following week.

WARMING UP: Even with all these chances of rainfall, temperatures will be making a big comeback anyway, with readings into the 70s by Tuesday and staying there throughout the rest of the week. Lows will be in the 50s.

MID-MONTH: As we reach the last day of April, we can look as far as the middle of May and the GFS continues to show an active weather pattern well into the month with several more chances of rainfall across the area. There looks to be no real cold snaps that could bring frost or freeze conditions, as we pass the dates of the average last freeze across the state.
