RAINY WEEK: Continues to look like we’ll have several shots at some rainfall this coming week across the state. Several disturbances will move through with slight to scattered chances of some showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could be strong to severe especially Tuesday and Wednesday. SPC had an outlook yesterday morning over the eastern counties of the state for the possibility of severe weather on Wednesday. The new 4-8 day outlook wasn’t out as of this posting. Rainfall amounts could reach 1-2″ especially in the eastern half of the state with lesser amounts farther north and west. Temperatures will also rise back into the 70s by Tuesday and stay in that range through the rest of the week into the following weekend.
MORE ACTIVE WEATHER: After a break on Friday, the stormy conditions return for the first weekend in May. Showers and thunderstorms will move in on Saturday and last into Sunday. Some of the storms on Sunday could be strong, but we’ll need a few more runs before we can pinpoint any chances of severe weather in any part of the state at that time. Farther into the month, Mother’s Day weekend looks iffy, with possible rain, but we’ll get to that in the coming days.
