RAINY AHEAD: Still looking like a lot of rain is in the forecast across the state over the next week. Several rounds are possible with many hours of dry time in between including during the day with some sunshine. Temperatures next week will rise back into the 70s to near 80, after starting out today with highs in the 40s and 50s. Rainfall could be significant with 1-2 inches possible by the end of the week. Severe weather is possible but too early to determine or pinpoint where exactly as yet.

CONTINUED ACTIVE: Even into the following weekend and beyond, the pattern shows no signs of departing at least according to this GFS run. If this holds true this would put a significant dent in the moderate to severe drought conditions that have been ongoing across the northwestern counties of the state over the last several months. Readings look to also remain warmer than average as well at least at this time.
