Severe Weather will make a return after about a week of rather quiet and inactive weather. The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has posted a Slight Risk of Severe Weather from Iowa to West Virginia. This threat remains fairly low, however, it will need to be watched over the next few days. The main threats are damaging winds and large hail, however an isolated tornado can not be ruled out.
Showers & Thunderstorms will linger around the area Wednesday, with a few of them becoming severe. If that does, in fact, happen, the threat will be isolated. A widespread severe weather outlook is not expected.
Thursday has a Slight Risk farther off to the West, into Nebraska. As of this time the threats will be the usual, large hail. This risk continues to appear not to extend into Iowa, however we will keep an eye on this situation as we enter tomorrow. There are additional chances into the weekend, but it is too early at this time to forecast any risks.
