SHOWERY WEATHER: Several days of showers and thunderstorms are in store for the state, with several quick moving disturbances. The total rainfall with these systems could be significant with at least an inch of rain possible by Friday afternoon when the rain will move out of the state. Temperatures will remain in the 50s and 60s through the weekend before a warmup ensues next week.

WARMING RIDGE: Temperatures will warm back up next week back into the 70s by mid-week with a slight chance of a shower or storm by Tuesday and Wednesday. The ridge will flatten out and temperatures look to cool toward average by the end of next week however.

STORMY END: Still looking like a decent storm may effect the area toward the end of the month. On today’s run, the storm looks to be north of the state with most of the precipitation remaining in the Dakotas and Minnesota. We could see some shower and thunderstorm activity down here as well, but the GFS has had a hard time pinpointing this storm over the last few days so we’ll have to keep watching it several more days before pinpointing the forecast further.
