The Storm Prediction Center has issued a TORNADO watch effective until Midnight for the following counties, Adair, Adams, Appanoose, Audubon, Cass, Clarke, Dallas, Davis, Decatur, Guthrie, Jasper, Lucas, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, Monroe, Polk, Poweshiek, Ringgold, Taylor, Union, Wapello, Warren, Wayne, Atchison MO, Harrison MO, Mercer MO, Nodaway MO, Putnam MO, Schuyler MO and Worth MO.

Storms have been moving through the southwestern counties of the state with a few severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings. More storms are expected during the evening hours with all modes of severe weather possible. Take heed with any warnings that are issued for your area and be sure to stay weather aware this evening and into the overnight hours.
