JACK FROST APPEARING NIGHTLY: Frosty conditions are upon us again over the next several nights. A frost Advisory is in effect this morning across several counties in northern into western Iowa. This will be the case again Monday-Wednesday morning as well in parts of the state, with the most widespread frost and freeze conditions being Tuesday. Highs during this time will only be in the 50s to around 60.

DOUBLE TROUBLE: The Friday storm doesn’t seem to be as potent as before, but the storm on its heels for next Sunday looks meaner and if it holds true is likely to bring some severe weather to the state and region. Some beneficial rain is likely as well from both systems as they move through the state. Some cold air will follow in the wake of the system the following week.

WEEKS OUT: At the end of the run, another storm with similarities to the one coming next Sunday will be developing to our west. If this pans out, we could see another round of nasty weather in two weeks time, but the model has been varying widely with systems this far out lately, so we’ll just look for trends at this time.
