HOT FOOLS DAY: It’s going to be a hot day for April Fools across the state, with many locations reaching the 80s if not the lower 90s. Sioux City had a record yesterday of 90 and may hit that temperature again today.
STORMY MONDAY: A storm moves into the state and region on Monday with some shower and thunderstorm activity. There could be some isolated severe weather with any of the thunderstorms with large hail like last night’s storms in eastern Iowa, being the logical threat. This moves away early Tuesday with a drop in temperatures back into the 60s and lower 70s for the rest of the week.
FURTHER OUT: Easter weekend still remains half and half with Saturday being the worst of the two days. Easter looks to be quiet with a slight chance of a shower for sunrise services mainly in the eastern counties with clearing late in the morning and cooler. Several other storms may move through the area through mid-month with no real severe threats associated with them, at least at this time.
