WARM WEEKEND: After some shower and thunderstorm activity early this morning, temperatures will warm for the upcoming weekend back into the 70s and even some lower 80s. There is an outside chance of a shower or storm late Saturday night across the central and eastern counties of the state. The SPC had an outlook on this area on their Day 3 outlook yesterday which had yet to be reissued at the time of this posting. Otherwise it’ll remain mainly sunny with very warm temperatures.
NEXT STORM: The next system makes its appearance in the state on Monday into Tuesday with showers and thunderstorms. The severe weather threat will remain mainly to the south of the state, but some decent rainfall amounts are possible with the system. Temperatures behind the front will drop back to near average for early April before rising once more back into the 60s by the end of next week.
MID MONTH: The middle of the month looks rather active but ever changing in the model runs which is typical when talking well past 7-10 days. There is a continued threat of shower and thunderstorm activity but it has been changing with every run so we have no confidence in at least this run past the 7-10 day period at this time. Temperatures look to become cooler around the 8th-11th before rising once again, but this too has been changing and we have no confidence at this time with this either.
