Temperatures this afternoon have jumped well into the 60s and 70s across the state. Sioux City has hit 75° which is only a few degrees off the record high for the date. Des Moines has reached 72 as has Keokuk. Burlington is at 71, with Ames, Knoxville, Grinnell and Marshalltown at 70°. Readings may go up another few degrees or so and any record highs that are reached will be posted later today on the blog.
