RAINY DAY: Most of the precipitation today will be in the form of rain, however some of it early in the morning may be freezing on some surfaces causing slick conditions on the roads. This will likely improve my mid-day as temperatures rise. The far northern counties may see a wintry mix for most of the day with snow just to the north. Tuesday night a few rumbles of thunder can’t be ruled out as the storm moves through. The colder air behind the system will switch the precipitation over to some snow however outside the areas in the Winter Weather Advisory, the snow will amount to no more than an inch at best.

FRIDAY SYSTEM: The Friday event still looks to be skimming the southeastern counties with some precipitation. This one will put the state on the cold side, however much of the precipitation with this system will miss the state to the south and east of the area. However there still will be enough that some wintry mix or snow is possible.

ACTIVE MARCH: The month continues to look active well into the middle of it. Several systems may impact the state with some rain and possibly even some thunderstorms. It will cool off behind the system later this week but quickly warms back up again early next week.
