QUIET WEEKEND: Dry conditions prevail for the weekend with slightly cooler yet remaining above average for this time of year. Readings will be in the 30s and 40s across the state both today and tomorrow ahead of the next system that swings through on Monday with some rain and wintry mix.
PRECIP CHANCES: After the storm on Monday into early Tuesday, another storm comes into the state Wednesday and Thursday with another chance of some rain and wintry mix, the rain mainly occurring during the day with the wintry mix at night. This is because temperatures will be in the upper 30s to 40s across the state, well warm enough for rain.
THAT STORM AGAIN: The 12z, 18z and now this run have shown some differences when compared with the 00z run seen yesterday and the 6z run that came in overnight. This run shows no real defined low pressure, but the precipitation is still there, a bit lighter than last night. This may be due in part to this noisy high pressure system to our north. This would bring winds in out of the northeast and would tend to dry the atmosphere out thus limiting the snow or any other precipitation. The storm also seems to be coming in pieces. One on the 26th, another the 27th and 28th and then a third piece on the 1st of March. Given the big differences in the runs today and the ones yesterday we should look at these storms with some caution at this time.
