QUIET AND MILD: A quiet and mild end to the week across the state, with no precipitation chances until at least Monday. With the snow cover quickly eroding, we will see temperatures well into the 30s and 40s across the state with partly to mostly sunny skies. There could be some fog in areas that still have snow on the ground each morning.
NEXT STORM: Monday into Tuesday will see a storm system move through the state bringing chances of some rain snow mix to the state. It looks to be minor at this time with most of the precipitation with this system skirting to the south of the state. However it looks to be enough that some issues could arise.
FEBRUARY 26TH: It’s still there, the infamous storm of February 2012 that has yet not gone away on many of the model runs as of late. The low is slightly further east than 24 hours ago, but the precipitation still remains moderate to heavy across the state. It is still in “voo-doo” but it’s becoming more apparent that this storm will need to be watched in the coming days.
FARTHER OUT: Another storm, much weaker than the one above may sweep into the state like a “Lion” to bring March and Meteorological Spring in. This one looks to be warmer with mainly rain and possibly a wintry mix to end as the storm moves to the northeast. We’ll have to keep an eye on this one in future runs as well.
