SNOWY DAY: Snow will move across the state today with accumulations ranging between 1-3″. It will cause some travel issues but nothing that isn’t out of the ordinary with light snow totals. The snow moves out tonight but the seasonal readings remain for a few more days before another storm steps foot into the state on Wednesday. This one will have some rain along with some snow, so any accumulations with this system are expected to be light at this time.

COOLER QUIETER: The remaining days of the week will be a bit cooler and much quieter with partly to mostly sunny skies and temperatures at or slightly below seasonal norms. Although the more sunshine we get the temperatures may go higher than projected.

ACTIVE END: This run, like many the last week or so have continued to show an active end to the month across the state and the Upper Midwest in general. Several systems are possible including one that will be coming in from the southwest bringing gulf moisture along with it the middle of next week. While this is still well out there, if this storm holds true, it will be a significant storm with some snow accumulations. Where those accumulations could be is still up in the air.
