The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls has issued a Winter Weather Advisory effective from 5pm until 10pm this evening for Cherokee, Ida, Plymouth and Woodbury counties. UPDATE BELOW

Some freezing rain and sleet will develop across the advisory area later this afternoon and will continue through the evening hours before ending. A few hundredths of an inch of ice will be possible with this system along with a half inch of snow. This may cause some travel issues on roadways.

UPDATE: Buena Vista, O’Brien and Sioux Counties have been added to the Winter Weather Advisory. The Advisory is now in effect for all areas until Midnight.
