Want to become a spotter for the Iowa Weather Blog, now you can. The Iowa Weather Blog wants anyone in the state of Iowa and counties that surround border the state to sign up to become a spotter for the Blog.
What do you need to do? Each day email us the High and Low Temperature and Precipitation (Rain/Snow) to the Blog’s Email [email protected] If you have a Weather Station that is hooked up to the internet we can use that too! Just send us Precipitation totals as needed.
Also you may send us your pictures of interesting weather happening in your area along with any reports of severe storms that pass through. It’s our way of making the Blog about you.

Counties that need spotters include all of Iowa along with the following counties
In South Dakota, Minnehaha, Lincoln and Union.
In Nebraska, Dakota, Thurston, Burt, Washington, Douglas, Sarpy, Cass and Otoe.
In Missouri, Atchinson, Nodaway, Worth, Harrison, Mercer, Putnam, Schuyler, Scotland and Clark.
In Illinois, Jo Daviess, Carroll, Whiteside, Rock Island, Mercer, Henderson and Hancock.
In Wisconsin, Vernon, Crawford and Grant.
In Minnesota, Houston, Fillmore, Mower, Freeborn, Faribault, Martin, Jackson, Nobles and Rock.
Once I get my automated weather station and webcams get setup, can you use that?
