SNOWY FRIDAY: Snow is moving into the state very early this morning. It will continue throughout the day, with the heaviest amounts occurring well north of US Hwy 30. Accumulations of 3-6″ of snow will be possible in the advisory and warning areas today. The snow tapers off this evening as the quick moving storm moves off to the east.

NEXT STORM: Storms will be coming in every other day with another coming in Sunday into Monday with some snow possible as well. Most of the moisture will be to the south, so only an inch if that will be possible with this system at this time. Another moves just south of the state at mid-week that may bring some heavier totals just to our south and east, any change in storm track may put that into the southern and southeastern counties of the state.

BITTER COLD FEB?: The GFS has been hinting at a bitterly cold outbreak to begin the month of February and this run is no different, with a 1052mb High coming down from northeastern Alaska down into Montana by the 4th. If this pans out, it will likely bring temperatures well below zero and snow possibly into the deep south. Remember though that runs will change wildly when talking about something 10-14 days out as we are here, but this has been seen for the last few days now off and on.
