Wind Chill Advisory Across Northern Iowa

Temperatures will get quite cold Thursday morning and with a little breeze, wind chills will get dangerous cold. A Wind Chill Advisory has been issued for this reason Thursday morning (not this morning) for the following counties, Allamakee, Chickasaw, Fayette, Floyd, Howard, Mitchell, Winneshiek, Black Hawk, Bremer, Butler, Calhoun, Cerro Gordo, Emmet, Franklin, Grundy, Hamilton, Hancock, Hardin, Humboldt, Kossuth, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Sac, Webster, Winnebago, Worth and Wright.

With temperatures dropping into the single digits above and below zero with winds of 10-25mph, this will bring wind chills down into the -20 to -30 range during the morning hours. The Wind Chill advisory will remain in effect until Noon Thursday.
