WINTRY MIX: A disturbance will move through the state today, with colder air in the offing for later in the week. This system will bring some rain/snow mix to the state during the daylight hours with all precipitation changing to snow overnight. Up to an inch of snow is possible by Tuesday morning, with the northern counties having the best chance at the heaviest snow.

COLD VS WARM: Temperatures will vary wildly across the state given the snow pack across the east and a lack of one across the west. On Sunday, temperatures were 20° difference between the east and the west. It won’t be as significant this week with temperatures in the 20s and 30s across the state. Some of the lows may drop to or below zero especially Wednesday morning. Some snow is possible again on Thursday with another quick disturbance, but with little more than a dusting to half inch at best. Temperatures begin to rebound nicely back into the 30 and lower 40s across the east with 50s in the west.

MORE SNOW?: Models continue to show an active pattern setting up across the region over the last two weeks of the month. A trough over the west and ridge over the east would be more conducive to better chances at seeing some wintry precipitation across the area. It will also for the time being bring the warmer air back albeit cooled by the snow cover to the state once again.
