The storm to end one year and begin another is starting to become interesting. The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls has upgraded the Winter Weather Advisory to a Winter Storm Warning for Dickinson, Clay and Buena Vista counties.
TIMING…RAIN WILL DEVELOP LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND CHANGE OVER TO SNOW THIS EVENING. ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL OCCUR BETWEEN 6 PM AND MIDNIGHT. STRONG WINDS DURING THIS TIME WILL ALSO CREATE PERIODS OF REDUCED VISIBILITIES.
ACCUMULATIONS…SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES IS LIKELY.
WIND AND VISIBILITY…NORTHWEST WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 25 TO 40 MPH DURING THE EVENING…LIKELY REDUCING VISIBILITIES TO LESS THAN A HALF MILE.
