REBOUNDING: Temperatures will rebound by the end of the weekend after two days of cold weather Friday and Saturday. Readings today will be in the upper teens to the middle 20s. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny today as the snow from last night and into early this morning will move off to the east. By Sunday and into early next week, temperatures will rise back into the 30s to near 40° across the state. Along with the warmer weather will come another storm system that will move into the state at mid-week.
MID-WEEK MAYHEM: The storm, midweek will be coming from the southwest. The center of the storm will move directly over the state, thus most of the storm’s precipitation will be in the form of rain with snow as the system departs Thursday afternoon and evening. It’s too early to determine storm amounts at this time, but right now they look to be fairly light. Looking farther out in the run, this storm may be the best chance to get any measurable snowfall across areas that don’t have any currently. Aside from a few clipper systems the week after, there is little if any chance of any big accumulating snows between now and Christmas Day as it is right now. Of course that could change with the very next run.
