WET THEN COLDER: Rain will continue through most of the day before ending from west to east. Highs for today will be established early before readings begin to slowly fall back into the 30s. Some precipitation may change over to some light snow or a mix during the evening and overnight hours, but accumulations are not likely at this time. There could however, be some slippery spots on bridges and overpasses Saturday night into Sunday morning. Temperatures will remain in the 30s and 40s for the next several days for highs with lows in the upper teens into the 20s. Another shot of cool air will follow toward the end of the week with only a slight chance of some snow showers possible. It may be just a wind shift however.
QUIET AND DRY: This model run shows a very dry and seasonal December ahead. That isn’t good news for skiers and snowmobilers. Temperatures will be cool enough for snow, but high pressure looks to stay in control across the Midwest keeping the moisture to the south and north of the state.
