GOODBYE WARMTH: One more day of warm weather awaits before colder and more seasonal temperatures move in for the weekend and the following week. Rain will move in by the evening to overnight hours of later tonight into Saturday morning. It will start out as rain and will quickly switch over to some light snow or flurries as it ends late Saturday night into Sunday morning. Little if any accumulation is likely, although some bridges and overpasses may become slick.
NEXT WEEK: It looks to remain tranquil next week with only slight chances of precipitation occurring. Most of the precipitation will be in the form of some rain and or snow with temperatures remaining in the 30s and 40s throughout the week.
ARCTIC OUTBREAK AHEAD?: At the end of the model run, a large polar 1052mb High is centered over the Yukon with an arctic front on the doorstep of the US Canadian border. If this pans out, this may bring the first arctic outbreak of the year to the state around the middle of December. The next model run, however may not show this, but we’ll continue to monitor.
