Clouds and some light haze have continued to blanket the eastern counties of the state all day. This has kept temperatures down slightly in the lower and middle 40s. The cloud deck is slowly moving east, but as the sun goes down, fog may once again set in across the eastern counties. This will likely happen east of a Decorah to Waterloo to Marshalltown to Ottumwa line where the clouds have held tough all day (except in far eastern Clinton and Scott counties) The clouds should break up mid morning Thursday with stronger winds and warmer temperatures into the 50s and lower 60s.
