CONTINUED TRANQUIL: A slow warm up is in store over the next few days ahead of the next storm system slated to move in on Saturday. Temperatures today will remain in the lower and middle 40s across the state, warmer over the west, where southerly winds will begin to take hold. Friday will see temperatures back over 50 across the western counties with middle to upper 40s across the east. Everyone will see 50s on Saturday with showers and isolated thunderstorms possible. Rainfall amounts are expected to be light with under a quarter inch possible. Some of the precipitation may mix with some snow across the far northwestern counties Saturday afternoon and evening.

THANKSGIVING: Still is looking like Thanksgiving will be seasonally warm with southerly winds and temperatures in the 50s statewide. This won’t last into Black Friday however with a new storm system moving in most likely by midday across the west and afternoon into the evening across the east. Behind this system will see a push of MUCH colder air that may also bring some snow to the state to finish out the holiday weekend. With the weekend still more than 7 days out, things may change in the next few model runs. We’ll have to wait and see.
