BACK TO FIFTIES: Temperatures are heading back to near and even slightly below seasonal norms for the end of October. Temperatures will remain in the 50s with a slow warm up to the lower 60s by this weekend especially across the western counties of the state. It will also remain dry as well, with only a very slight chance of rain today and then again on Sunday across the far NE. Halloween on Monday still looks dry and seasonal with readings in the 50s and lower 60s for highs with Trick o Treating seeing upper 40s to middle 50s.

ACTIVE NOVEMBER: The month of November is looking to get off to an active start with a major storm still being seen about two weeks out. One such storm will come on the 2nd (Next Wednesday) with a frontal system coming from the northwest. This will bring another shot of cold air from Canada along with some showers and maybe a clap of thunder or two. Another storm is possible around the 7th of November coming from the south and west. But the “BIG ONE” on this run looks to be on 9th through the 10th of November, with a chance of showers possibly a few storms (especially across the SE) and the chance of some snow across the NW counties (which if this pans out could be significant). Now again this is still about two weeks out and things can change, but this storm has been persistent for the last few days. We’ll keep tabs on it throughout the rest of the week.
