RAIN SLIGHT OVER THE NEXT WEEK: The chances of rain look rather bleak over the next week (yes that rhymed). With the best chance of rain over the next week on Monday into early Tuesday with a quick moving disturbance that will be pulling down some much cooler air to the state.

TRENDING COLDER: The weather pattern as it should this time of the year is beginning to trend more and more cold over the next few weeks. The next cold snap coming at mid-week will likely bring widespread frost and freeze conditions statewide. Highs may struggle to get out of the 40s in many places Wednesday before a slow warmup to seasonal readings by next weekend. However further out, another cold snap in about ten days (courtesy of an Alberta Clipper-like storm) may bring even colder readings than this coming week, including possibly a few flakes.

HALLOWEEN: Even though the model run ends on Halloween, it wouldn’t hurt to look at the holiday this far out in advance. This run shows that it will be dry and seasonal with readings likely in the mid to upper 50s to lower 60s across the state, with Trick O’Treating time seeing readings in the mid 40s to mid 50s, but things can change wildly this far out so stay tuned.
