DRY AND COOLER: We’ll be looking for more seasonal readings over the next couple days and into the weekend with drier conditions after some much needed rain across the state. Some places received well over an inch with isolated totals over 2 inches! We’ll have time now to dry out for the next several days before a quick moving storm system may drop some rainfall Saturday night into Sunday (however the GFS has it drier and further to the north).

FROSTY ONCE MORE: Another quick moving storm system on Monday (it too showing up drier and further to the north) will bring a shot of much cooler conditions to the state early to middle of next week. This is likely to bring frost to a large portion of the state by Wednesday morning. We’ll have to wait and see on that and the amount of moisture we will get from this storm system.

ANOTHER SHOT: Further past the seven day period, there may be another shot of cold weather to move in the following week, behind another system (that too shows up quite dry across the area). This could be the beginning of progressively colder punches from the north as we head closer to the Winter Season.
