You can tell across the region today where the clouds are still sticking around from the pesky upper level low that is moving off to the east across the Great Lake States. Temperatures are being held down into the 60s across the eastern counties, while out west readings have soared well into the 80s under bright sunshine. The warm up won’t last long with a cold front coming through the state very late tonight into tomorrow morning bringing cooler conditions statewide, along with strong northwesterly winds. A wind advisory has already been issued across northeast Iowa for this wind event. Others could be issued later tonight or tomorrow morning.
