UPPER LEVEL LOW AGAIN: The upper level low is still the main feature in the weather forecast again today. The low will be centered near the Quad Cities today with showers and isolated thunderstorm spinning around from the east and northeast today. The better rain chances will be east of Interstate 35, while to the west will see some clouds and sunshine with temperatures in the upper 60s to lower 70s. This continues into Monday as well as the upper level feature continues to remain close by. It will finally begin to move away early Tuesday with decreasing cloudiness from west to east. By Wednesday the entire state should see sunshine and seasonal temps which will last into the weekend when readings begin to climb above average.
INTO OCTOBER: As we’ve been saying for a while now, it looks like the first week of October will be dry with the next widespread chance of rain coming around Columbus Day Weekend. This may change but many of the 1-3 month outlooks show below average precipitation for the area, so this may end up being true. We’ll watch it. There is no signs of any cold blasts coming down from Canada anytime soon as well.
