FROSTY MORNINGS: Looking at some frosty mornings ahead especially on Thursday morning. Some Freeze Watches and Warnings have been issued across the northern counties of the state. Some frost advisories may be issued as well for a larger portion of the state later today. Temperatures today for highs will struggle to get out of the 50s in some areas while lower 60s could be the best we can do elsewhere in the state. Skies will become mostly cloudy across the state with an isolated chance at sprinkle or shower and that is mainly across the western counties. Tonight lows will drop into the upper 20s in the far north to upper 30s in the SC and SE. Frost is possible at least north of US Hwy 20 if not US Hwy 30 and in favored river valley locations south of that. Take all precautions regarding frost and freezes.

REBOUND: Temperatures will begin a slow rebound toward 70 by the weekend. The model wants to paint a few showers for the weekend but this will likely hold off until Sunday night into early Monday with chances being 20% or less. Another storm will be moving through Tuesday with chances not looking good for precipitation then either.

FARTHER OUT: Another large storm system about 10 days out could bring some showers. It will also usher some more cool air in from Canada in which we may see temperatures back near the levels we’ll be seeing over the next 24-48 hours toward the end of next week into the following weekend.
