DRY WEATHER AHEAD: Cool and dry weather conditions will prevail across the state for the next several days. Outside of a possible chance of an isolated shower due to an upper level feature of which part of it will be from Tropical Storm Lee’s remnants late Friday into Saturday, the weather will be dry through at least next Monday with slowly rising temps. Lows will be in the mid 40s in cooler locations with others seeing upper 40s to mid 50s early in the week with them rising to the low to mid 50s by late week. Highs will be in the upper 60s to mid 70s early to mid to upper 70s by the end of the week.
MORE ACTIVE: The weather pattern on this run shows a more active pattern toward the middle of the month with several chances of showers and isolated thunderstorms. Along with these, there will be several shots of cool air which will bring more and more cool nights to the state. (Note the first frost of the year on average begins in NW Iowa around the end of this month!) As of now we don’t see any frosty mornings in the next two weeks. (A few years ago many locations had a frost on September 15th, breaking the record for earliest known frost on record)
I’m glad to see that you’ve changed over to the Fall Theme, Jeff!
