STORMS TODAY: There is a slight chance of severe weather again for today and tonight for the southeastern half of the state. The main threats will be from large hail and damaging winds. This will be mainly in the morning and then again later in the afternoon into the evening hours. Most of the storms will be out of the state by late evening as they move into Illinois. Rainfall could be substantial with up to an inch possible especially in the Severe Drought areas across SE Iowa.

DRY WEATHER EXTENDED: After the storms today, we will head into a dry stretch of weather for several days that will last into next weekend. Temperatures will be below average for early September with highs in the upper 60s to mid 70s and lows in the mid 40s to lower 50s through Tuesday before rising to seasonal temps mid-week.
