Severe Weather…Finally back into the Forecast!

SPC Convective Outlook for Tuesday
This is the Blog Post we have been waiting to Write about. The Storm Prediction Center has posted the Day 3 Convective Outlook, with a Slight Risk of Severe Weather added for a Big Portion of Iowa and Illinois. This is great news as Iowa has been Quiet the Last couple of Weeks for any Thunderstorm action. How this is expected to play out is that Southerly Winds will lead to Moderate to High Instability across the Area. Convection (Thunderstorms) is expected to Develop anywhere Between the Hours of Sunset to Late Tuesday.  If these storms do happen to develop during Sunset, storms could easily begin to Materialize and Create an Overnight Severe Weather event, with the Primary threats being Large Hail and Damaging Winds. Of course, The isolated threat of a Tornado can not be ruled out.
We will continue to monitor this situation and give you the latest as it comes in!
