Severe Weather Back into the Forecast tonight

Storm Prediction Center Day 1 Outlook

Look’s like this Nice Weather we have been having won’t last as the Storm Prediction Center has posted a Slight Risk of Severe Weather for the Northwestern portion of the State. All modes of Severe Weather are possible, with the Damaging Winds threat the primary threat.

A cold front is expected to make it’s way across the State today, Bringing Iowa some Cooler (and not Muggy!) Weather Conditions tonight. However, before we can get to that point we will have some Severe Weather make it’s way through the Area, and give Iowa another Stormy Night, followed by Nice Temperatures and no Muggy Conditions.

Here is how it’s expected to play out: Storms will begin to fire in the Northwest Iowa and Southeast South Dakota’s areas, and if there is a Chance for Tornadoes this will Most Likely be the Best place for them to Form, but an Isolated Tornado in other areas can not be ruled out.

We will continue to monitor this situation and give you the latest information throughout the night.
