The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch effective until 5am Sunday morning for the following counties, Appanoose, Davis, Lucas, Mahaska, Marion, Monroe, Wapello, Warren, Wayne, Des Moines, Henry, Jefferson, Keokuk, Lee, Louisa, Van Buren, and Washington. Storms continue across the southwestern counties of the state and they are moving generally to the east and southeast around 30-35mph. The main threats from these storms will be from large hail and damaging straight line winds.
