The list above shows that the heat is very high across the state. Temperatures statewide are in the 90s with heat indices well over 110 in some areas and even above 120° which is VERY dangerous. This is expected to continue in the the week with no real change anticipated at this time.

Showers and thunderstorms continue to move through the northeastern counties of the state this evening. Some of the storms may produce brief heavy rainfall and winds gusting to 30-40mph. They are moving SE at 30-35mph. This is likely to be the last “widespread” rainfall in the next week.
