A Flash Flood Watch has been issued from this afternoon through tonight for Fayette and Clayton counties. Other Flash Flood Watches are possible later this afternoon. A microburst occured during the early morning hours in northern Johnson and southern Linn County as a thunderstorm moved through the area. Winds of 70-90mph were estimated from Swisher to Ely with sporadic tree damage. The storm at the time was not warned for. More storms like that one will be possible later this afternoon and tonight.

UPDATE:The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a Flash Flood Watch for Benton, Buchanan, Clinton, Delaware, Dubuque, Jackson, Jones and Linn counties until 1pm tomorrow afternoon.
