Well, It has been a Nice & Quiet Week overall for Severe Weather. A few Thunderstorms, but for the most part have remained below Severe Limits. This is set to Change this afternoon as the Storm Prediction Center has Posted a Slight Risk for Severe Weather for a Big Portion of Iowa.

Above the last paragraph, You can see where Exactly the Storm Prediction Center has posted the Slight Risk. This area will be mainly based off a Boundary that is Set to Take the Stage later this afternoon around Northern Iowa.
Showers and Thunderstorms will begin to Enter the Area late this afternoon. The atmosphere is expected to be very unstable and the cap holding the Thunderstorms should be weakened enough to have everything go as planned. Thunderstorms will become explosive and Supercells are possible, Creating all modes of Severe Weather, Including Tornadoes. The Large Hail threat is fairly small, Damaging Winds and Tornadoes should be the Primary threats.

To the Right you can find the Elevated Tornado threat that currently Stands in Northern Iowa. All other threats are still sitting at a 15% Chance. We will continue to keep track of this situation and give you the latest throughout the day.
